New Foodbank Van Fundraiser Launches Across Anglesey

Anglesey Foodbank has officially launched a new fundraising campaign to raise funds for a much-needed replacement van, helping ensure vital food deliveries can continue across the island.

The charity’s current vehicle, which plays a central role in collecting and delivering food, is now struggling to keep up with increasing demand. A new van will allow the Foodbank to operate more reliably, reach more people, and continue supporting local families facing hardship.

To bring the community together around the campaign, Anglesey Foodbank is inviting everyone to take part in a fun initiative — “Name the Van.”

Local residents, schools, businesses and community groups are encouraged to submit their ideas by commenting on the Foodbank’s social media posts. The winning name will be chosen by the team and revealed when the new van is launched.

Alongside the naming campaign, the Foodbank is asking for donations through its Spacehive fundraising page. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help keep food moving to those who need it most.

The campaign will run until 6th July, and the team hopes to see strong community involvement over the coming weeks.

“This van is essential to what we do every day,” said the team. “It allows us to reach people across Anglesey and ensure food gets where it’s needed. With the community’s support, we can continue delivering that vital service.”

Anglesey Foodbank is encouraging everyone to get involved — by suggesting a name, sharing the campaign, or donating if they are able.

Together, we can keep food moving and support local families across Anglesey 💚
